Footpath grants from RTA
Dear Shellharbour City Council,
I note that there have been requests from residents for Council to install footpaths in the Shellharbour LGA. On each occasion, it is noted in the Business Paper that Council has referred these requests to the RTA for grant application.
I would like to know, in the past three years, how many RTA grants have been applied for, which grants have they applied for, on what date, what was RTA response, and what are Councils future plans for footpaths.
Yours faithfully,
Hetty Cummins

Good Afternoon Ms Cummins,
I have received your informal application seeking information in relation to your request for:
In the past three years, how many RTA grants have been applied for, which grants have they applied for, on what date, what was RTA response, and what are Councils future plans for footpaths.
As these documents are not open access information, I am writing to advise you that your request should be lodged as a Formal Access to Council Information application (this can be found on Council's website, it is not letting me insert the link for you sorry ), accompanied by a $30.00 application fee as prescribed in the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), section 41(1)(c).
A Formal Access Application gives the applicant a legally enforceable right to access information held by Council unless it is against the public interest to do so.
Under section 64(1) and (2) of the GIPA Act, an agency may require an applicant to pay processing charges at a rate of $30 per hour, for the time spent dealing with an access application. The application fee of $30 counts as a payment of one hour towards processing charges.
On receipt of your completed Formal Access to Council Information application form and payment of application fee, I will write to you again.
Thank you,
Christie Bryan | Governance Officer
