Food safety inspections for the years 2014, 2015, 2016
Dear Local Council,
Can you please provide me with the number of food safety inspections carried out in your area annually, for the last three years?
How many warning were issued each year and how many fines each year?
What percentage of all food outlets did the council inspect each year?
Have any outlets been shut down for non-compliance and if so what for and how many?
What were the worst offences/biggest fines for each year?

under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, in which you
sought access to the following documents:
Food Safety Inspections for the years 2014, 2015, 2016.
I am authorised as the principal officer, for the purposes of the s. 9(3)
of the GIPA Act, to decide your access application.
A search of the records of Bland Shire Council has been undertaken, to
identify all government information falling within the scope of your
application.
Council does not have the information you requested for the reporting
year 2013/14. The information for the reporting years 2014/2015 and
2015/2016 is listed in the table below.

Thanks for the information. I can help you calculate the percentage of inspections carried out if you tell me how many high and medium risk food outlets there were in 2013/14. All we need is the number of primary inspections carried out on high and medium risk businesses and then we divide that by the number of businesses in this category, secondary inspections are not needed for the calculation.

Following is an extract of the 2013/2014 activities report for your information. Councils figures do not list secondary inspections separately - all inspections carried out are combined in the one figure.
