Dear Department of Immigration and Citizenship,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Department of Immigration and Citizenship's handling of my FOI request 'FOI Request for Detail Incident Report 1-4R7RP4'.
My request was unfairly linked with other requests, and unfairly deemed to be too onerous for any FOI officer to deal with.
However, it is the responsibility of Freedom of Information to have a procedure in place for dealing with complaints, in relation to its handling of requests for information
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,
Eleanor Frida-Kahlo

Dear Ms Frida-Kahlo
Concerning the reference to internal review in the subject line of your
email
As advised in the notice of 5 July 2013, your request was deemed to have
been withdrawn. As this does not constitute an access refusal decision,
no decision has been made by the department and you are unable to seek
internal review.
Concerning your contention that your request was unfairly linked with
other requests
As advised in the notice of 24 June 2013, this request was combined with
99 other requests in accordance with section 24 of the FOI Act as the
requests were for substantially the same subject manner and that,
together, they would constitute an unreasonable diversion of the
department's resources to process. Your request has been treated in an
identical manner to the other requests that were combined.
If you wish to make a complaint, you may make a complaint to the Office of
the Australian Information Commissioner. Details of how you may do this
are available online at [1]www.oaic.gov.au or in the notice of 5 July
2013.
Regards
