Fines issued - Sydney Opal

Kate Bettes made this Government Information (Public Access) request to NSW Office of State Revenue

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear NSW Office of State Revenue and/or State Debt Recovery Office

I'm writing to request statistics on fines issued by revenue protection officers, and NSW police officers in the period since the introduction of the opal card system, 2013-17.

Specifically, the amount of revenue generated in this period, and if possible, the number of fines issued.

If possible, please treat this as an administrative/informal request. Otherwise please proceed with my request as a formal information request under the FOI Act.

Yours faithfully,

Kate Bettes

GIPA-DFS,
