Good afternoon,
I refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 as follows:
‘A copy of the report produced by EY for the university relating to the
governance of PARSA. The report is mentioned in this article:
[1]https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/7...
As a result of searches conducted one document has been identified as
relevant to your request. On review of the document, it has been
determined that the document refers to the Business affairs of an external
organisation. Accordingly, the University is required to consult with
that organisation (under section 27 of the FOI Act) before making a
decision on the release of the document.
The consultation mechanism under section 27 applies when we believe the
external organisation concerned might reasonably wish to contend that the
requested document is exempt because release would disclose information
about the business, commercial or financial affairs of that organisation.
Accordingly, the period for processing your request has been extended by a
further 30 days in order to allow our agency time to consult with
that/those external organisation/s concerned.
The processing period for your request will now end on 13 September 2022.
Yours sincerely

Dear Australian National University,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Australian National University's handling of my FOI request 'EY report on PARSA Governance'.
Legal privilege has been at least partially waived as the report was at least partially distributed to third parties (PARSA executives) as well as being alluded to in the article in the Canberra times. Given the communication between the uni and the third party it’s also hard to see how the claims of real harm (a principal commonly accepted within government as applying to the issue of FOI and LPP) can be substantiated.
The claims of confidentiality are similarly compromised by the release of that information to third parties which would affect in part the s45 claims by the delegate in this instance.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/e...
Yours faithfully,
Goobely Woobely
Dear University Records Manager,
Can you please make sure that all correspondence has the correct spelling of my name please?
Yours sincerely,
Goobely Woobely
