Dear Australian Taxation Office,
On August 19, I lodged by email a FOI request with the subject
"Documents relating to request 1-Q1HU99Q". I received
acknowledgement of your receipt of this request on August 20.
Having not received a request for extension of processing time,
nor notice from the Information Commissioner that they have extended
the time allowed, I note that a decision on this request is overdue.
Could you please advise me of the status of this request?
Yours sincerely,
Fraser Tweedale

Dear Mr Espinosa,
Thank you for advising me of the ATO's application for an extension of time to respond to
request 1-QQCHCS8.
On August 19 I conveyed to the ATO my request, with some additional notes,
as quoted below:
> I request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 all email correspondence
> and any other documents brought into existence pursuant to FOI request
> 1-Q1HU99Q.
>
> For the avoidance of doubt, this scope includes any correspondence and documents generated on or
> after the date of request 1-Q1HU99Q (13 July 2021), up to the date of this request (19 August, 2021).
>
> Notes:
>
> * Request 1-Q1HU99Q was made by myself.
>
> * The subject of this request was "myGovID: source code and technical documentation".
>
> * The date of the original request was 13 July 2021.
>
> * A request consultation process was initiated on 28 July 2021 and I provided a revised scope the same day.
>
> * The ATO conveyed a decision on 10 August.
My request relates to email correspondence and other documents (if any) created pursuant
to another, recent FOI request. It is not apparent to me how this could be considered a complex
request requiring more than 30 days to process. I trust the ATO has provided their reasons and
I look forward to your decision.
Sincerely,
Fraser Tweedale

Yikes. OAIC correspondence relating to three separate FOI requests
have landed here in this one. It appears that the ATO requested extensions
of time for all three requests in a single correspondence to OAIC, and provided
a single contact address for "me", so everything ended up linked to this
request.
The other requests are:
- myGovID Android application: commercially licensed components:
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/m...
- myGovID: reasons for Terms of Use update
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/m...
I will respond __outside righttoknow.org.au__ to OAIC about the ATO's
applications in respect of those other two requests, to avoid further
confusion in this one
