FOI, Reserve Bank of Australia

Dear Mr/Ms Bennett,

I refer to your recent request seeking access to the latest banknote
distribution agreement between the RBA and NAB.

I advise that we have identified one document (the latest agreement)
relevant to your request.

I have decided to deny access to the document in terms of [1]section 45(1)
(documents containing material obtained in confidence) of the Freedom of
Information Act 1982, as release of the document ‘would found
an [2]action, by a person (other than an [3]agency or the Commonwealth),
for breach of confidence’.

I have further decided to also deny access to the document in terms of
[4]section 47(1)(b) (documents disclosing commercially valuable
information) as the document contains pricing information that has ‘a
commercial value that would be, or could reasonably be expected to be,
destroyed or diminished if the information were disclosed’.

In terms of the FOI Act, I advise that you have rights to review of my
decision if you are dissatisfied with it. You may apply as detailed below
for review of my decision.
