Dear Rohan Singh,
I submitted the request/clarification on 1 July 2020, and you replied on 15 July 2020 requesting further clarification before you began to process the request. I provided clariifcation the same day (15 July 2020).
By my reckoning (and by the information provided by OAIC), a response was due by 31 July 2020 (or at most 1 August 2020).
You now state that this request is due by 14 August 2020. Can you please help me understand how an additional two weeks has been added to the timeframe before a response is due?
Yours sincerely,

Dear Rohan Singh,
I would like to narrow the scope of my request as follows:
> Please only include any emails. Exclude any attachments.
I trust by only including the text of any emails and excluding any attachments, this potentially reduces the amount of processing time, and therefore reduces the amount of processing fees payable.
Yours sincerely,
MG
NBN Classification - Commercial
Dear MG
Thank you for your email.
You have indicated that you would like to rescope your application to
include emails only and to exclude any attachments to emails. You have
also enquired whether this would reduce the processing fees. I am not
treating your email below as a formal request to rescope your FOI
application, but rather as an enquiry as to whether the proposed rescoped
request would reduce the processing fees. Please clarify urgently if this
is not your intention.
Please note that a valid rescoped request is effectively a new FOI
application, and would restart the processing period.
For your reference, your proposed rescoped FOI application would not
reduce the amount of processing time or fees.
In the circumstances, within 30 days of my letter dated 7 August 2020, you
are required to:
o agree to pay the charge and forward the deposit; or
o contend that the charge has been wrongly assessed, or should be
reduced or not imposed (you should provide full reasons for your
contention); or
o withdraw your request.
If you do not, your request will be taken to have been withdrawn.
Alternatively, you can formally change the scope of your request. As
mentioned above, a valid rescoped request would constitute a new FOI
application and restart the processing period.
Please feel free to call me on 02 9031 3022 if you wish to discuss your
request.

This message is from an external sender - be cautious, particularly with
links and attachments.
Dear Rohan Singh,
I would like to narrow the scope of my request as follows:
> Please only include any emails. Exclude any attachments.
I trust by only including the text of any emails and excluding any
attachments, this potentially reduces the amount of processing time, and
therefore reduces the amount of processing fees payable.
Yours sincerely,
MG

The information I was after (that is, NBNCo does not intend to turn off DPBO in areas of the fixed line rollout) has been made available via a submission (6.1) to the JSC on the NBN.
