Deeds of the RBA Officers' Superannuation Fund
Dear Reserve Bank of Australia,
The documents I seek are copies of the following documents:
(i) A copy of the original Trust Deed of the Reserve Bank of Australia Officers' Superannuation Fund when it was established as a defined benefit fund; and
(ii) a copy of the amending Deed that would have added a defined contribution (accumulation) division to the Trust Deed.
The Reserve Bank of Australia was established by the Reserve Bank Act 1959.
Section 70 provides:
"(1) There shall be a superannuation Fund of the Bank,
(2) The Bank may, with the approval of the Treasurer. make rules, not inconsistent with this Act or the regulations, for or in relation to the superannuation fund."
If the Officers' superannuation fund was established by statute instead of a Trust Deed, then I seek a copy of the original "rules" and a copy of the amending instrument that amended the rules to add a defined contribution (accumulation) division to the governing rules of the fund.
Yours faithfully,
Phillip Sweeney

Dear Mr Sweeney,
I refer to your recent request seeking a copy of the original trust deed (or rules) of the Reserve Bank Officers Superannuation Fund (OSF) and also any amending deed (or rules) establishing a defined contribution/accumulation fund.
I advise that there is one document relevant to your request and enclose it with this email. It is released to you in full. Please note the document is a copy of the original rules of the OSF established by statute and that the accumulation fund was established at the same time as the OSF, so there are no amending rules.
Yours sincerely,
Anthony Dickman | Secretary
