I refer to your application received on 12 January 2018, subject to the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA) (“the Act”) requesting access to:

• the latest data on the number of Chinese students enrolled at your institution.

To make a valid access application under the Act, you must:

1. Apply in writing (which includes email);
2. Identify or describe the documents you want. You must give enough information to enable the agency to identify the requested documents.
3. Give an address in Australia where notices can be sent. If possible, include your contact details such as telephone number/email address/fax number.
4. Pay the application fee of $30 if you are seeking information that is not just about you – no application fee is payable for access to personal information that is just about you.

To enable us to undertake searches for relevant documents once your application is valid, it would be appreciated if you could clarify your definition of “Chinese students”.
