Corruption risk
Dear Yorke Peninsula Council,
I wish to see the letter from Cr Agnew to MP Stephen Griffith's on 17 August 2016.
I also wish to request all correspondence or notes of the Yorke Peninsula Council's regarding the instruction given by CEO Cameron to employees and elected members to suppress contact with members of the public. I am making this request under the Freedom of Information Act 1991.
Yours faithfully,
karen elliot
Good Afternoon Karen
NB: Please do not publish this response on the right to know web page,
this information is only intended for Karen Elliot, who I have no other
way of contacting.
Your request via a web page is not a valid FOI request in South Australia
so is unable to be processed as such, the attached document holds all of
the information we require plus the fee paid to process a valid Freedom of
Information request, however our Council works with the public to provide
any available public information without the need for a formal Freedom Of
Information process usually following a discussion by phone to work out
exactly what it is the person is after.
I am unable to determine exactly what it is you are after, if you wish to
contact me on the phone number below to discuss exactly what it is you are
after please do so.
Kind Regards
Jackie Reddaway I Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer and
Mayor

Council is like a scam
Asking you for money or financial information
Refusing to meet in person
Pressuring you for your phone number, email, or other personal or financial information right away
asking to communicate through a channel other than right-to-know
often repeating things or seeming disconnected from communications
dodging your questions without providing answers, or replies to your messages
directing you to other websites

"Your request via a web page is not a valid FOI request in South Australia so is unable to be processed as such"
From the relevant SA legislation:
An application for access to an agency's document—
(a) must be in writing; and
(b) must specify that it is made under this Act; and
(c) must be accompanied by such application fee as may be prescribed; and
(d) must contain such information as is reasonably necessary to enable the
document to be identified; and
(e) must specify an address in Australia to which notices under this Act should be
sent; and
(f) must be lodged at an office of the agency, and may request that access to the document be given in a particular way.
It would be interesting to know if any other SA agencies believe RTK requests are invalid.
Barring the application fee question; it looks like it ticks all of those boxes.
