Conflict of Interest Register
Dear NSW Police Force,
I would like to deal this informally in order to reguest more information.
Is there a conflict of interest register any sort for staff / police officers.
And what it / these would be called if one or more exists ? Thanks
Yours faithfully,
MissAnonymous

Dear #GIPA,
This was a request under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act)
Please do not treat this as complaint but informal request as per the Act. Thanks
The request is publicly visible at https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/1...
Yours sincerely,
MissAnonymous
Dear NSW Police Force,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts internal reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of NSW Police Force's handling of my informal GIPA request 'Conflict of Interest Register'.
It seems the police has failed to respond to this and appropriately see this as informational GIPA request.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/c...
Yours faithfully,
MissAnonymous
Dear Miss Anonymous
Thank you for your email requesting access to information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).
You have specifically sought access via informal release of government information under s 8 of the GIPA Act.
I note that s 8(1) of the GIPA Act provides that:
An agency is authorised to release information held by it to a person in response to an informal request by the person (that is, a request that is not an access application) unless there is an overriding public interest against disclosure of the information.
I have considered your request and from my assessment of the scope of the request, the NSWPF declines to provide the information you seek informally.
As a result, the NSWPF is not required to provide you with access under s 8 of the GIPA Act and this decision cannot be reviewed.
However, you may wish to seek access via a formal GIPA Application which can be accessed via our online portal here.

Irene

I've verified that this has gone to the correct email address for GIPA requests for the NSW Police - Not sure why they responded the way they did.
