Citizenship Ceremonies
Dear Waverley Council,
Could you please advise:
- The number of people waiting to be allocated to an Australian citizenship ceremony (who have been approved) in Waverley Council NSW as of 22/12/23 and,
- How many citizenship ceremonies are planned for 2024 and approximately how many people participate in each ceremony?
Yours faithfully,
Anna
Hello,
The last count we received from the Department of Home Affairs and
Ceremony NSW was 233 approved applicants waiting to be conferred at a
citizenship ceremony. This does not include the 100 approved applicants
that have been invited to be conferred on Saturday 26 January 2024.
We have two ceremonies scheduled for 26 January. 50 x conferees at 9am and
50 x conferees at 11am.
Then another ceremony scheduled for 9:30am Saturday 2 March for 90 x
conferees.
A list of dates for the first six months of 2024 can be found [1]here on
the Waverley Council website.
