Bodyworn Cameras and Stolen Money

Waiting for an internal review by NSW Police Force of their handling of this request.

Dear NSW Police Force,

There are a number of people in Queanbeyan NSW who have been pulled over by police, searched and money taken.

The money is never noted as property being taken by police which means it cannot be collected back from the police.

Bodyworn cameras being turned on would prevent this theft. Queanbeyan police officers regularly lie about the camera being on or just flat out refuse to turn it on when asked.

I want to know two things, the first being the rules around Bodyworn cameras and when they should be on.

Secondly, are you aware of this sort of corruption within the Queanbeyan police? If so, what is being done to stop it?

Yours faithfully,

Lauren Ainslie
