Good morning
Thank you for your email below in which you are requested access to
information under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act). We note
that you have requested access to information held by the Classification
Board which relates to Battlefield 2042.
In regards to the first point of your request, we do not release
un-redacted copies of previously released documents.
In regards to the second point of your request, for a request to be valid
under the FOI Act you must provide us with sufficient information
concerning the document you are requesting to enable the department to be
able to identify it.
At this point in time, we do not consider that you have provided us with
that information, and as such, we currently regard your request to be
invalid for the purposes of section 15(2)(b) of the FOI Act.
Consultation
Where a request is not valid under the FOI Act, the Department is required
to assist you in making a request in a manner that complies with the
requirements of the Act. We are therefore seeking further clarification
from you as to the documents you wish to seek access to.
Can you please specify which email or email’s about Battlefield 2042
during the classification process you are seeking.
If you do not contact us and engage with us on the revision of the scope
of your request within 14 days of the date of this email, we will consider
your request to be invalid and it will not be dealt with any further.

Thank you for your email of 8 August 2024 requesting access to documents
held by the Classification Board (the Board) under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (FOI Act).
You have requested access to:
Any emails sent or received from the Classification Board regarding the
classification of Battlefield 2042 between June 1 2021, to January 1,
2022. Excluding any information about FOI requests, and emails sent or
received from the public.
Your request has been allocated the reference number CB 25-059. Could you
please ensure that you quote this reference number in all future
correspondence.
Timeframes
The statutory due date for you to receive a decision on your request is 9
September 2024. This date may be extended in certain circumstances, and in
the event that this occurs, the Board will notify you. Where the due date
falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the timeframe will expire
on the next working day.

Please note that the Board considers the following information outside the
scope of your request unless you specifically request it:
o personal information of third-party individuals; including public
servants below the SES level and all email addresses, signatures and
direct telephone numbers
o any duplicates and drafts of final versions of documents captured by
your request
