Acknowledgement of your FOI request – CB 22-001 – Battlefield 2042

Thank you for your email to the Department of Infrastructure Transport,
Regional Development and Communications (the department) of 30 August 2021
requesting access under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) to
the following:

Requesting classifier note, decision document, application for
classification, and full-screen screenshot showing information from the
database as seen by the Classification Board for the video game
Battlefield 2042.

This request includes personal information but does not include the
software sent with the classification application.

Application for classification includes footage, attachment, and form.

The full-screen screenshot should show all the information for the game
and the software used to view it.

Release copy of the footage file received with the application for
classification with no change.

I confirm receipt of your request and note the department may be in
contact with you to discuss your request if clarification is required,
where we may be able to process your request outside of the FOI Act, or
for any other reason.

Otherwise, you will be notified of any charges payable in relation to your
request or of a decision regarding your FOI request as soon as this has
been determined. In accordance with subparagraph 15(5)(b) of the FOI Act
you can expect to hear from the department regarding this matter within 30
days of your request.

Where documents found to be within the scope of your request contain the
names and contact details of departmental employees below Senior Executive
Service (SES) level, should you agree, it is proposed that those names and
contact details would be considered irrelevant to the scope of your
request. Please confirm via return email whether you agree to this
approach.

Notification of third party consultation – CB 22-001 – Documents relating
to Battlefield 2042

In processing your Freedom of Information (FOI) request CB 22-001 the
Department has identified documents containing the personal and/or
business information of an external third party. Under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act) we are required to consult with this
third party before making a decision on the release of the documents
subject to your request.

As such, please be advised that the processing time limit of your request
has been extended by 30 days in accordance with subsection 15(6) of the
