Dear Freedom of Information,
I am still awaiting a response to my request 'Australian EITI Pilot Public Report'.
By law, the response should have been received by me on or before the 7th of May.
Please respond to my request promptly to avoid further delays and to honour the FOI process.
Yours sincerely,
Terese Geraghty
Dear Ms Geraghty
Thank you for your email dated 8 May 2014. Please find attached a decision in relation to your FOI request of 7 April 2014. We apologise for the delay in forwarding this to you. The case officer concerned was unexpectedly absent from the office yesterday.
In response to your enquiries (email below) dated 16 April 2014, the reason the project has not been completed is that it has taken longer than anticipated to finalise the Multi-Stakeholder Group’s (MSG) report to government. There is no specific documentation to explain this, nor is there any documentation regarding any “new negotiated timeframes”. When the government announced the EITI Pilot in 2011 it did not specify a completion date, and accordingly the project is not "running over the time allocation".
The Chair of the EITI Pilot will shortly release a Communique on the status of the Pilot and the MSG meeting that was held on 2 May 2014 on the Department’s website, at http://www.innovation.gov.au/resource/Pr... .
We trust the above information addresses your queries of 16 April 2014.
Please do not hesitate to contact the FOI team if you have further queries regarding this matter.
Kind regards,
FOI team

This request has been finalised for now. The fact that there is no information available means that I have all the information available. I will be following up this matter with representatives from the Multi Stakeholder Group to get more clarity on the status of this pilot program.
