ARPANSA barrels received to date
Dear Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency,
I am seeking access to information under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) regarding the number of barrels of waste received from the former University of Melbourne Australian Radiation Laboratory site to date.
My request includes documents such as meeting minutes, strategies and emails from April 2018 to the present.
Yours faithfully,
Guido Orefice
Dear Guido Orefice
I refer to your request dated 26 May 2019 for access to the following
documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982:
'I am seeking access to information under the Freedom of Information Act
1982 (FOI Act) regarding the number of barrels of waste received from the
former University of Melbourne Australian Radiation Laboratory site to
date
My request includes documents such as meeting minutes, strategies and
emails from April 2018 to the present.'
Clarification of scope
As currently worded your request captures any document which mentions to
the number of barrels of waste received from the former University of
Melbourne Radiation Laboratory site. This would involve searching all
records for a mention of the number of barrels.
For the purpose of determining whether charges will apply under the FOI
Act, please let me know whether you would agree to limit your scope to a
list maintained the Radiation Safety Officer which will list the number of
barrels received to date. Charges will not apply if you agree to limit
your request to this list.
Timeframe
ARPANSA received your request on 26 May 2019 and the 30 day statutory
period for processing your request commenced from the day after that date.
You should therefore expect a decision from me by Tuesday 25 June 2019.
The period of 30 days may be extended if I need to consult third parties
or for other reasons.
Kind regards
Gemma Larkins
