If you are making a Freedom of Information request, it is useful to comply with the Act. At minimum you should say that you are asking for something, not just write a piece of a sentence. If you will read the words in the email, you can see that it is not a sentence; there is no verb. There is nothing to say whether this is a statement, a request, or some other thing.

It is also useful in most states of Australia to say that you are asking for the document under Freedom of Information legislation, or, in the state of Queensland, to say that you are asking under the Right to Information legislation. It goes this way ...

Dear Redland City Council,

I request a copy of the arborist's report that was given to the council
following the inspection and tests ... This request is made under the
Right to Information Act.

Probably the council officer will guess correctly at what the applicant is trying to say. Also see the other page at https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/t...
