OFFICIAL
Good morning,
I write to you in relation to your Freedom of Information (FOI)
application (our reference: FOI 2023/1026).
Please be advised our office still requires a copy of your ID.
The WA Police Force is currently handling a high volume of FOI access
applications, which has had an impact on our response times.
In order to continue processing your application, the WA Police Force
respectfully requests an extension of time to 18th of August 2023.
However, please note we will endeavour to finalise your request prior to
this date.
Please advise by responding to this email whether you consent to this
extension of time by close of business 31st May 2023.
You are not obligated to consent to an extension of time, however, if an
extension of the permitted period cannot be reached by agreement and the
agency is unable to process your application by the original due date,
this can be considered a ‘refusal of access’ to documents under section
13(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 1992.
Information on review rights available to you can be found attached and on
the Office of the Information Commissioner’s [1]website.
Kind regards,
Admin Assistant (Freedom of Information)
