Dear GIPA,
I'm writing to follow up on a FOI request that has not been replied to yet.
The response has been delayed and as I understand it by law Fire Rescue NSW should have replied by February 11, 2022.
Original request was to please supply: 'All communications including emails between Fire Rescue NSW management and Fire Brigades Employees Union in relation to vaccine mandates and Fire Rescue NSW vaccine policy'
This was requested on the 14th January 2022.
So far the only reply has been:
"Dear Tristan
This email response is confirming acknowledgement of your informal request for Fire and Rescue NSW information.
I will contact you in due course in relation to an appropriate response.
Regards,
GLENN HICKEY
Information Liaison Officer

Hi Tristan
As your original request to Fire and Rescue NSW which was received on 14 January 2022 was accepted as an 'informal' request in accordance with section 8 of the GIPA Act, the 20 x working day response due period does not apply.
That is to say that your request has not been forgotten about, as acknowledged by my email response to you on 17 January.
Unfortunately, due to high work loads currently being experienced, and as I am the only person within FRNSW who's responsibility it is to provide formal responses under the GIPA Act as well as 'informal' requests for information, there has been a delay in provided a response to you.
I will continue to endeavour to respond as soon as possible.
