Aircraft Fuel Jettisoning – Hobart Airport
Dear Civil Aviation Safety Authority,
I am led to believe the following:
• Pilots seek permission from Air Traffic Control to dump fuel from the aircraft.
• The Civil Aviation Safety Authority and Airservices Australia enforce strict procedures on when and where fuel jettisoning can occur.
Please provide all documents from between 1 Jan 2019 and 1 Jan 2024 where permission was granted to jettison fuel from an aircraft travelling to or from Hobart TAS within a radius of 60km of Hobart Airport.
Yours faithfully,
Cathy Minnucci

Dear Freedom Of Information,
Good morning ...thank you for your reply, Amy.
The first request is now overdue, and it is a very important issue.
I have waited the 30 days and would like some indication if fuel has been dumped or released over our homes. We breathe the air and I am seriously concerned - we are also in a tank water dependent area.
I would like information on this FOI request as soon as possible.
Domestic Flights are extremely low and have increased from zero to 30-40 per day.
Yours sincerely,
Cathy Minnucci
