A complete list of Technical Advisory Branch (TAB) "Research" document titles.

The request was successful.

Dear National Disability Insurance Agency,

I am requesting access under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act), to the following information:

[ START SCOPE OF REQUEST ]

The Technical Advisory Branch compiles research on particular topics. I am requesting a complete list of all TAB “research” document titles. Known examples include:

–– “Research - Ehlers Danlos Syndrome” (released under FOI 21/22-1232)
–– “Research - Orthostatic Hypotension Causing Syncope and Hemiplegic Migraines” (released under FOI 23/24-0467)
–– “Research Request - Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome” (released under FOI 23/24-0467)
–– “Research Paper - Myalgic encephalomyelitis / Chronic fatigue syndrome” (released under FOI 23/24-1015)

[ END SCOPE OF REQUEST ]

Please be sure to provide my examples to the TAB including the FOI numbers as part of your search, as I understand the titles may vary slightly in their phrasing of “research”, “research request”, “research paper”, or similar, due to when they were first published.

I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Emily Lacey

Dear Cooper,

That is incorrect.

I am not asking for any documents from the disclosure log.

I am asking for a complete list of the file names / document titles of all “research” documents the TAB has created. I don’t want a copy of all the documents themselves, just a list of what their names are (like you would see in a file directory / any folder on your computer).

The documents I have listed in my request are examples of what should be included in the list. Imagine there will be many other research documents on other conditions/topics that the TAB holds, and I want to know what the names of those documents are.

Please let me know if you require any further clarifications.

Yours sincerely,
Emily Lacey

Dear Cooper

Are you able to please provide an update? It’s been 2 weeks since I clarified the scope of the request, and this weekend will mark 7 weeks since the request was made.

I know your team is understaffed and very busy, but it’s extremely frustrating that the legislated timeframes and other requirements aren’t being met by the agency and that we are just left waiting.

Yours faithfully,
Emily Lacey

Hi Emily

I sincerely apologise for the delay in providing you with a decision.

Consultations are currently underway to determine the documents in scope of this decision.

I will provide an update by COB Friday 28th June 2024.
