Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth), I request access to a documentary
copy of the keynote address delivered by Dr Bacon on 29 August 2024 at the Public
Sector Women in Leadership Summit 2024

4. I am authorised under subsection 23(1) of the FOI Act to make FOI decisions.
5. I am satisfied that all reasonable steps have been taken to locate documents relevant to your
request.
6. I have identified one (1) document in scope of your request.

7. I have decided to grant you full access to the document, with irrelevant material omitted
under section 22 of the FOI Act.

Deletion of exempt matter or irrelevant matter
5. Section 22 of the FOI Act requires an agency to provide access to an edited version of a
document where it is reasonably practicable to edit the document to remove exempt
material or material that is irrelevant to the scope of a request.
6. Document 1 has been edited to remove irrelevant material. Relevantly a number of parts
of the document did not represent a documentary copy of the speech Dr Bacon actually
delivered and so these parts of the document do not form part of the scope of your request.

Attachment B.

Asking for a full explanation of a Freedom of Information decision
