The Privacy Advisory Committee advises the Information Commissioner on privacy issues, and the protection of personal information; provides strategic input to key projects undertaken by the Information Commissioner; fosters collaborative partnerships between key stakeholders to further promote the protection of individual privacy; promotes the value of privacy to the Australian community, business and government; and supports office accountability to external stakeholders.
