[EXTERNAL EMAIL]
Dear

You may be aware that the Department of Health and Aged Care has commissioned the National
Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to develop guidelines for the management of ME/CFS.
The guidelines will be Australia’s first since the 2002 guidelines developed by a working group of
RACP.

The focus of the new guidelines will be the appropriate diagnosis and management of ME/CFS in the
primary care setting. My colleagues would like to meet with you to seek your views on the scope of the
guidelines and appropriate representation from RACP on the guideline development committee,
particularly in the areas of managing ME/CFS in children and structured rehabilitation.

Please contact
 and
 at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxx.xxx.xx to confirm
a convenient time for you to meet.

With thanks
