FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST- DECISION 
I refer to your request to the Treasury on 9 September 2024, for access under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (FOi Act) to the following: 
[A] copy of the contract setting out the enforceable conditions put in place by the
Department of Treasury on behalf of the Commonwealth in approving the acquisition of
Suncorp Bank by the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) on June
28, 2024.
I am an authorised decision maker under section 23 of the FOi Act. 
Decision 
The Treasury does not hold documents within scope of your request. We advised you on 
24 September 2024, enforceable conditions referred to in your request were put in place via 
legislative instrument and not by contractual agreement. You were provided with the following 
link - https://www.legislation.gov.au/F2024N00589/asmade/text and asked to withdraw your 
request. No response was received. As the Treasury holds no documents within the scope of 
your request, I am refusing your request under section 24A(1) of the FOi Act.
