I am writing to notify you that your FOI request has been received by the
National Anti-Corruption Commission (the Commission). Your request was
received on Wednesday, 10 July 2024. This notice contains important information
relating to your request – please read it carefully.
The Commission’s understanding of your request
On 10 July 2024, the Commission received correspondence from you requesting
documents under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act).
You have requested:
documents that might be classified as "prosecution guidelines" to assist the staff of the
NACC priortise what complaints concerning the conduct of Commonwealth Public
Officials that might warrant criminal presecution including contravents of subsection
142.2 of the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) - Abuse of Public Office.
Timeframes
Under s 15(5)(a) of the FOI Act, the Commission must notify you that your
request has been received as soon as practicable and no later than 14 days after
receipt. This letter is a notice pursuant to s 15(5)(a).
Under s 15(5)(b) of the FOI Act, the Commission must notify you of a decision in
relation to your request as soon as practicable and no later than 30 days after
the request was received. The date by which you must be notified of a decision is
Friday, 9 August 2024.
