theAttorneyͲGeneral’selectorateofIsaacs,Victoria).RelatedrecentchangestotheOSIwebsitehaveenabledthe
additionofonͲdemand,userͲselectedtranslationofpagecontact–thisisviaanoffͲtheͲshelfGoogleTranslate
plugin,andthereforehasitslimitationse.g.translationoptionsareAIͲdrivenandincludePashtoandPersianbutnot
Dari.
ThematteroftranslationofpubliclyavailableOSIinformationwasraisedattheSydneymeetingwithcommunity
leaders(andhassincebeenraisedinSenateEstimates).Whilewerecognisethelimitationsoftheautomated
translation,itwouldbegoodtounderstandwhetherthischangehasgonesomewaytoimprovingtheAfghan
community’saccessibilitytoinformationabouttheOSI’swork.Inotethepartialtranslation(jointlyfundedbythe

liaisonlastyear.
