Dear The FOI People,

I refer to your request on 5 June 2024, under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act), in the
following terms:
All public speeches made by the Treasurer that contain a condemnation about the killing of
children in the occupied Palestinian Territories, specifically in East Jerusalem, the West
Bank and the Gaza Strip since the 7th October 2023. I require all draft and final versions of
these speeches.

I am authorised to make FOI decisions on the Treasurer’s behalf.
I am satisfied that, after reasonable search, the Treasurer is not in possession of any documents within
scope of your request. I have therefore decided to refuse your request under section 24A(1) of the FOI
Act on the ground that relevant documents do not exist.
A statement setting out your rights of review in this matter is attached.
Yours sincerely,

Claudia Crawford
