STATEMENT OF REASONS UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 1982

I refer to the request by Simon Harris (the applicant), dated and received on
3 February 2024 by the Department of Defence (Defence), for access to the following
documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act):
“…the full video (incl audio) of the press conference held in Canberra on 16 January
2024 held by Defence.
I request an unedited version of the video covering the entire transcript/press
conference.”
