Members of the Classification Board and the Classification Review Board are appointed as statutory officers on a fixed term basis. They are selected to reflect the diversity of community life and a range of public opinion. Members are required to take account of a range of views and appropriate legislation in classifying publications, film and computer games for the Australian Government and all States and Territories. The Classification Board receives administrative support from the Office of Film and Literature Classification.
