Queensland Electrical Safety Board
The primary function of the Electrical Safety Board is to give advice and make recommendations to the Minister about policies, stragegies and legislative arrangements for electrical safety. Key functions of the Board include developing, evaluation and updating a 5-year strategic plan for improving electrical safety; advising the Minister about state, national and international electrical safety issues; and reviewing the approiateness of legislative provisions of the Electrical Safety Act 2002 and subordinate legislation. A secondary function of the Board is to give advice and make recommendation on matters of energy efficiency and performance of electrical equipment, as requested by Treasury.
