Marine and Safety Tasmania
The Marine and Safety Authority was established to carry out the following general functions: to ensure the safe operation of vessels; to provide and manage marine facilities; and to manage environmental issues relating to vessels. The Authority has jurisdiction in and over - the waters of all inland lakes, rivers and streams; coastal waters; any vessel; and any marine facility under the control of the Authority.
