The HIV Foundation Queensland has a mandate to reduce HIV rates in Queensland. It is responsible for the delivery of the Queensland HIV Strategy 2013-2015. The Foundation will support HIV prevention, support and education services within hospitals and community health services throughout Queensland. It will undertake fundraising to support provision of HIV prevention, education and support activities and develop health promotion messages related to HIV. The Foundation is responsible for providing independent advice to the Minister for Health on HIV prevention awareness in Queensland.
