The research and focus of Future Farm Industries CRC Ltd (FFI CRC) is the development of innovative farming systems and new perennial plant species and cultivars (Profitable Perennials™ technologies) that improve productivity through effective water use and maintaining ground cover while enhancing natural resource values. FFI CRC’s goal is to have Profitable Perennials™ adopted on 7.5 million hectares or 13% of southern Australian farmlands by 2030. These technologies will become the foundation for future livestock and cropping enterprises augmented by new biomass production to the benefit of farms, regions and landscapes.
