CRC for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
Part of the Industry and Science portfolio and a Federal authority
The CRC for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health will address the key challenge of closing the health gap. This challenge will involve: research focused on child and maternal health, reducing chronic illness risk across the life-course, and improving early intervention and chronic illness management; research focused on the capacity of local communities and organisations to develop interventions that address the determinants of health across a range of local sectors and settings; and research enabling the reform of policy and programs, workforce development, and whole-of-government approaches to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. Please note: This authority is not technically subject to FOI, but you can still make requests to it
