Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania
Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania is responsible for the administration of the Aboriginal Relics Act 1975 and provides Aboriginal heritage management advice to both the public and private sectors of industry. It aims to protect, conserve and promote Tasmania’s unique Aboriginal heritage for the benefit of present and future generations of Tasmanians by providing administrative services under the Aboriginal Relics Act 1975, maintaining the Aboriginal Heritage Register, working with the Tasmanian Aboriginal community on community led projects, undertaking research and interpretative activities, and improving respect and understanding for Aboriginal culture through education.
