Australian Building and Construction Commission

Part of the Employment portfolio and a Federal authority, also called ABCC

The ABCC has been abolished. This took effect from 6 February 2023. The Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC) promotes an improved workplace relations framework to ensure that building work is carried out fairly, efficiently and productively for the benefit of all building industry participants, without distinction, and for the benefit of the Australian economy as a whole. On 2 December 2016, the ABCC commenced operations, transitioning from Fair Work Building and Construction.
